CanAm: Processing of Permanent Green Cards Underway for All Aboard Florida Investors

New York, NY — CanAm Enterprises (“CanAm”) is pleased to announce that immigrant investors who invested in its All Aboard Florida project are now receiving their I-829 approvals, which represents the final step on their successful EB-5 immigration journey.

Immigrant investors funded $350 million into the All Aboard Florida project – the only privately owned and operated intercity high speed passenger train in the United States.  In August 2020, the investment was repaid in full, marking the single largest project repayment in the history of the EB-5 program. Upon its completion, the project created more than 9,400 qualifying jobs for U.S. workers, providing more than enough jobs to meet the EB-5 job creation requirements for all 700 investors.  In September 2022, CanAm notified project investors that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) had approved the first I-829 petitions related to the All Aboard Florida project, providing those immigrant investors with unconditional permanent residency status.  The first two I-829 petitions were approved in under two years, which is about three years faster than the current average USCIS processing time for such applications.

“CanAm has proudly helped thousands of families abroad meet their U.S. immigration goals, and of all the steps in the EB-5 immigrant investor program, we are especially pleased when our clients are awarded their permanent green card,” said Christine Chen, Chief Operating Officer for CanAm. “It is also gratifying to see the USCIS act so promptly on our investors’ permanent visa applications. For 35 years, CanAm has built trust by choosing projects that deliver the results our investors seek and leveraging the full resources of our company to help our clients and their families to the finish line of U.S. immigration,” she said.

CanAm has raised more than $3 billion in EB-5 capital, funded more than 60 EB-5 projects, and helped investor families receive more than 7,800 permanent green cards.

As a Regional Center, CanAm carefully selects and structures development projects to ensure each fully complies with EB-5 program and job creation requirements. CanAm assists immigrant investor clients with all phases of the immigration by investment program, including conservative underwriting, preparing offering documents and materials related to USCIS immigration applications and returning capital to investors.
