CanAm Enterprises Informs EB-5 Investors in the Jefferson Energy Terminal Project I of USCIS’s Approval of the First I-526 Petition

New York, NY – CanAm Enterprises (“CanAm”) today notified immigrant investors that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) has approved the first I-526 Petition filed in connection with the Jefferson Terminal Energy Project I.

CanAm EB-5 Project – Jefferson Terminal Energy Project I

“The EB-5 program is a methodical pathway to U.S. residency, and CanAm takes pride in supporting our clients and providing them updates, each step of the way,” said CanAm President and CEO Tom Rosenfeld. “Most importantly, CanAm makes this route to immigration possible by presenting investors with high quality projects – like the Jefferson Energy Terminal Project I — that deliver the results our clients expect and deserve from this program. That’s been our approach for 35 years, and we believe our track record of success is unrivaled by anyone in the EB-5 business,” Rosenfeld said.

The USCIS issued an I-924 Exemplar approval for the Jefferson Energy Terminal Project I on May 24, 2021, reflecting USCIS’s determination that the capital investment satisfies EB-5 Program requirements.  Jefferson Terminal is owned and operated by Jefferson Energy Companies (“Jefferson”), a midstream oil company that serves the Gulf Coast. Jefferson is majority-owned by Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC (NYSE: FTAI), which is externally managed by an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group (NYSE: FIG), the global investment manager with approximately $54.2 billion under management.

Fortress and its affiliates and CanAm have together raised a total of $543.8 million through four EB-5 Program projects. The two organizations continue to collaborate on projects and expect to present investors with new EB-5 opportunities shortly.
