What is EB-5?
The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, created by the U.S. Congress, provides a unique opportunity for foreign investors to obtain a U.S. green card. Through a qualifying investment that generates at least 10 full-time jobs, EB-5 allows investors and their families to pursue U.S. residency and, ultimately, citizenship if desired.
How Do I Know if I Qualify as an EB-5 Investor?
Unlike some paths to U.S. residency, EB-5 visas have no language, education, or business experience requirements. To qualify, investors can contribute either $800,000 or $1.05 million, depending on the project’s location. Most EB-5 investors choose to work with Regional Centers, which manage projects and help meet job creation requirements.

How Can Investors Outside the U.S. Secure Residency?
If you are located outside the U.S., you can begin the EB-5 process with consular processing after I-526E approval. This involves an interview at your local U.S. consulate, and upon approval, you’ll receive a conditional green card to enter the U.S.
How Can Investors Already in the U.S. Secure Residency?
If you’re currently in the U.S. on another visa, you may qualify for Adjustment of Status. This allows you to stay, work, and travel within the U.S. while awaiting EB-5 approval, making it a convenient option for current U.S. residents.
