The 1,300-acre site of the former PES oil refinery, the single most important development site in Philadelphia and second only in size to the Philadelphia International Airport, is being transformed into the “Bellwether District” – a mixed-use campus that will feature a world-class multi-modal logistics facility and a state-of-the-art life science and innovation campus. This project is the comprehensive redevelopment of the Bellwether District that includes: (i) mass-grading earthwork and infrastructure improvements across approximately 853 acresof the Property (the “Earthwork/Infrastructure Component”), and (ii) vertical construction of two industrial logisticsfacilities on the 15/16 Parcel (”15/16 Vertical Construction Component”). The Earthwork/Infrastructure Component and 15/16 Vertical Construction Component, together, comprisethe “Bellwether EB-5 Project”.
