The Rural Broadband EB-5 Project intends to deploy approximately 5,000 miles of fiber-to-the-home (“FttH”) fiber optical cable and related network equipment to unserved areas in nineteen (19) counties in Virginia. The initiative includes the following seven (7) counties that in their entirety qualify as “rural areas” under the EB-5 Program: King George County, Lancaster County, Northumberland County, Richmond County, Westmoreland County, Middlesex County, and Page County (collectively, the “Rural Project Counties”). The project intends to procure and construct approximately 1,200 miles of new FttH fiber cable and deploy broadband to approximately 15,000 unserved residential and commercial locations in the Rural Project Counties. The development, construction, and installation work to be undertaken within the Rural Project Counties comprises the “Rural Broadband EB-5 Project.”
