Los Angeles County Regional Center > Overview
Designated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on March 24, 2008, as the Los Angeles Film Regional Center, this Center first expressly targeted investments in the motion picture and television industry in Los Angeles County, California. Most recently, CanAm Enterprises, LLC prepared and submitted an application to amend the name and expand the Regional Center’s target areas for the Los Angeles County Regional Center to encompass multiple industries, including:
- Agriculture & Food Processing
- Alternative Energy
- Health Services
- Higher Education
- Motion Pictures and Television

On November 19, 2009 the amended designation was approved by the USCIS to participate in the U.S. Immigrant Investor Program.
The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) recently entered into an exclusive partnership with CanAm to identify financially sound investment opportunities that not only meet the job creation requirements of the EB-5 Program, but also further its business development and job creation mission.
