USA

Philadelphia

When the U.S. Immigrant Investor (EB5 visa) Program reopened in 2002, CanAm and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp (PIDC) applied to have Philadelphia County designated as a regional center. The Philadelphia (PIDC) Regional Center was approved by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) on February 28, 2003, pursuant to the Section 610 of the Appropriations Act of 1993 and 8 CFR Section 204.6(e) as a regional center under the U.S. Immigrant Investor Program.

Pennsylvania

Working with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), CanAm applied to have a portion of Pennsylvania designated to participate in the Program. Accordingly, the Pennsylvania (DCED) Regional Center was designated by USCIS on April 13, 2007.

Hawaii

In early 2008, CanAm won the contract to be the exclusive promoter of the Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) Regional Center, originally designated by USCIS in 1995. We prepared submission for re-designation to USCIS and on October 30, 2008, The Hawaii Regional Center was re-designated by USCIS.

Los Angeles

Most recently, CanAm prepared and submitted an application to amend the regional center target areas for the Los Angeles County Regional Center to encompass the multiple industries our investment projects will be able to target and assist. Some of these target industries encompass Agriculture & Food Processing, Alternative Energy, Health Services, Higher Education, Motion Picture & Film, Technology and Transportation, among others. On November 19, 2009 the amended designation was approved by the USCIS to participate in the U.S. Immigrant Investor Program.

Since August 2004, when its first I-526 petitions were submitted, CanAm has raised over US$675 million for investment projects in diverse industries, representing over 1200 immigrant investors. Please click here to see a chart of CanAm's USA track record.
